Tuesday while campaigning in Florida for his wife Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, former President Bill Clinton said Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump‘s supporters were “your standard rednecks,” like he is and grew up with.
When asked about the use of the term in referencing Trump supporters Clinton said, “It’s a sociological term and a lot of us take a lot of pride in, including me. I’m not ashamed of it.”
