Friday, ESPN2 “First Take” co-host Stephen A. Smith called out President Barack Obama for not coming on the show to debate sports with him in response to the president sharing his Super Bowl and NBA Finals predictions on Sirius XM’s “Sway in the Morning.”

“I think the president is scared,” Smith said. “I think the president is scared to come on ‘First Take.’ He shows up everywhere else. He talks to people and gets asked question he just gives the answer to, as opposed to somebody saying, ‘Excuse me Mr. President, what justification do you have for making that pick?’ and actually debate him. I think that since he beat [Mitt] Romney he’s gotten comfortable and he’s scared to debate.”

“This ain’t politics. This is sports. I think I would beat the President of the United States,” he maintained.
