Thursday at her weekly briefing, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) praised federal courts in Hawaii and Maryland for halting President Donald Trump’s new restrictions on travelers from majority-Muslim countries.

Pelosi said, “Yesterday a court in Hawaii and another court in Maryland again rejected, thankfully, the president’s brazenly prejudiced, barely repacked Muslim and refugee ban.”

She added this is “a victory for security and our constitution.”

“The administration has boasted of a proposal to separate children from their mothers and fathers crossing the borders,” which she called an “inhumane.”
