Earlier this week on NPR’s “Fresh Air,” former Vice President Joe Biden said he was “absolutely” leaving the door open to run for president in 2020.

Biden said, “I have a bad habit of answering the question straightforwardly. I have no intention of running for president, but I’m a great respecter of fate. I am not going to commit I would never run for president.”

He added, “I don’t have any plans to do it, but I’m not promising I wouldn’t do it.”

When host Terry Gross asked if he was “leaving the door open a little bit,” Biden replied, “Absolutely.”
