Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union,” Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) said there was “no viable military option” to solve North Korea problem.

Johnson said, “What’s been tried in the past hasn’t worked. That’s obvious. I think from my standpoint, the only thing that will work is getting China fully engaged, use all of their influence. I think probably a regime change. Kim Jong-un is about maintaining his power and thinks a nuclear program, nuclear weapons, combined with intercontinental ballistic missiles will achieve that.”

He continued,” There is no viable military option. It would be horrific. I don’t think wants to contemplate that. We have to — we must get China recognized and fully engaged. It is not in their best interest to have Kim Jong-un with these types of weapons destabilizing the south pacific.
