Monday, after standing for 25 years, the Georgia Dome was imploded.

The Georgia Dome was home for the NFL’s Atlanta Falcons, hosted the Super Bowl, the 1996 Summer Olympics, college basketball’s NCAA Final Four and was yearly the stop for college football’s SEC Championship Game.

The adjacent Mercedes-Benz Stadium replaced the Georgia Dome as Atlanta’s primary venue for these types of events over the summer.
