Wednesday, Sen. John Kennedy (R-LA) told ABC News he did not support President Donald Trump’s plan to have a military parade because he said when you’re the “most powerful nation, you don’t have to show it off.”

Kennedy said, “I don’t think it is a particularly good idea. Confidence is silent and insecurities are loud. When you are the most powerful nation in all of human history, you don’t have to show it off like Russia does and North Korea and China.”
