On this weekend’s broadcast of “Fox News Sunday,” White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders downplayed assertions that the Trump White House was “micromanaging” the FBI investigation into sexual misconduct allegations against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.

Sanders said, “The White House is not micromanaging this process.”

She continued. “This is a Senate process. It has been from the beginning. We are letting the Senate continues to dictate what the terms look like.

On Democrats, she added, “I think that we cannot allow the people that have acted in bad faith to determine and allow this to become a total fishing expedition by the FBI. Senate Republicans are going to lay out and dictate those terms, and we look forward to this wrapping up so we can see what we’ve seen in the last six background investigations that Judge Kavanaugh’s been a part of.”
