Matt Damon isn’t shy about his political leanings, witness projects like “Green Zone” and his ties to late radical historian Howard Zinn.

But the “Bourne” star is keeping mum about his latest project, “Promised Land,” a movie filmmaker Phelim McAleer claims will contain a strong anti-fracking message.

“Promised Land,” a Focus Features drama starring Damon and directed by “Milk” auteur Gus Van Sant, is currently scouting for extras for part of its Penn-based shoot.

Big Hollywood reached out to Focus Features for comment on the story’s basic elements, but our message wasn’t returned.

AFP similarly reached out to Damon, who is co-writing the project, for reaction or comment and also got no response.
