Actors Olivia Wilde, Penn Badgely and Zoe Kravitz have had enough of the rich feasting on the poor.

So they shot a video extolling the virtues of the Occupy Wall Street movement and detailing plains to train the “99 percent” in civil disobedience tactics for 2012 and beyond.

“Non violent direct action … by hitting the streets … 60 years ago civil rights leaders understood the power of disruption…”

They even name drop the violent protests held in Wisconsin and OWS events across the country, pretending, of course, that no violence ever took place?

“Are you in?” they ask us, echoing the current ad campaign slogan for Barack Obama.

Coincidence?

Let’s say for argument’s sake that this trio of attractive one percenters is right. The rich are getting too rich, the system is grossly unfair, and we need to do something about it.

Well, what better place to start addressing the inequalities in our system than on a film set? What other gig allows people getting paid millions to share the same work environment with people like gaffers, best boys and stunt doubles making but a fraction of that amount?

Better yet, why don’t the stars share their outrageous salaries with the people fixing their makeup, specialized meals and other non-essential needs?

“Change happens because people put their beliefs and their bodies on the line,” the celebrities tell us in that oh, so earnest cadence we last saw three-plus years ago in those celebrity videos for Sen. Barack Obama’s presidential campaign.

Well, let’s hope Wilde, Badgely and Kravitz are the first bodies in line to clog their respective film sets until real change happens.
