Even in death, the King of Pop still seems to fascinate us. Director Spike Lee has directed a new documentary on Michael Jackson set to air on Thanksgiving night on ABC.

Synopsis:  A documentary on Michael Jackson and the legacy of his record “Bad.”

Thoughts: You should probably know whether or not you want to see “Bad 25” before this trailer even begins. Jackson was legendary not just for his positive aspects, but for his “negative” aspects as well – from his evolving physical features to accusations of child abuse which dogged him for years.

In death, people seem to just remember the good. Whether that is fair is up to the viewer and probably is the key factor as to whether this looks interesting or not to you.

I’ll have better things to do on Thanksgiving night, but Lee is a talented director, and the glimpses here suggest a documentary that may actually give a unique and historical look at the making of a landmark album.

Lee probably pulled off something professional that will be able to rise above the politics, court cases, family matters and personal darkness that illuminated much of Jackson’s life.

If that was his goal, then good for him.
