I think we all know what resolution Jon Stewart made on New Year’s Day.
I solemnly vow to use my comedic bully pulpit to defend President Barack Obama from any and all critiques. And it’s a safe bet this is one resolution that will be kept.
Stewart rushed to Obama’s defense again last night on Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show,” doing damage control over the fact that the last four Obama cabinet nominees are all, gasp, white males.
Now, the press certainly won’t push Obama too hard on this, and when they do it’ll be gently from the Left. Stewart isn’t taking any chances, using humor and distraction to make sure this doesn’t become a thorny problem for Obama.
To be fair, naming the segment “Zero Dark Appointees” is sorta brilliant.
