Hating Breitbart, the documentary chronicling Andrew Breitbart’s mission to shred liberal media narratives, won Best Movie honors late last night at the 2013 Blog Bash event in Washington, D.C.

The announcement came after a tribute to the late media mogul, one highlighted by rising GOP star Sen. Ted Cruz raising a toast to Breitbart and his New Media legacy.

The film, released last year in an R-rated version, has been recut for PG:13 considerations and will be re-released on May 17 in theaters, DVD and digital on demand viewing.

Director Andrew Marcus captures Breitbart as he wages war on the mainstream media, debunks a race-based attack on the Tea Party and brings muckraker James O’Keefe’s ACORN videos to the masses.
