Two film projects about the Democrat’s likely 2016 presidential nominee, Hillary Clinton, have already been scrapped.

A third, a feature film focusing on Clinton’s early years in politics, just got a new life.

Lionsgate is in early talks to make Rodham, Temple Hill’s and The Arlook Group’s biopic of the former first lady, New York senator, secretary of state and possible presidential candidate,The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.

James Ponsoldt, who last directed the acclaimed indie flick The Spectacular Now, is on board to direct the drama, which was written by Young-Il Kim.

The project isn’t a go just yet, and given the flak previous films by both CNN and NBC received for potentially influencing the electorate it’s unclear if Lionsgate will actually make the film in question.
