Obama Donor Jeffrey Katzenberg to Co-Host Fundraiser to Unseat Sen. McConnell

Hollywood producer Jeffrey Katzenberg is known for rallying behind President Barack Obama’s national campaigns.

Now, the head of DreamWorks Animation is trying to get one of Obama’s chief political opponents out of office–Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell. 

Katzenberg and his wife, Marilyn, will be prominent among the cohosts when Kentucky’s Democratic senatorial candidate, Alison Lundergan Grimes returns to Los Angeles for a Jan. 13 event at the home of CAA managing partner and head of television Steve Lafferty and his wife, Nikki, an animal protection activist….

Katzenberg, who raised $1 million for Grimes during his first L.A. fundraising visit last September, has made McConnell’s defeat his number one political priority for the upcoming midterm elections.
