While discussing The View on Tuesday’s Wendy Williams Show, Joy Behar called Nicolle Wallace “a day at the beach” in comparison to her predecessor Elisabeth Hasselbeck.

Hasselbeck, who has since moved on to a cozy job with Fox News Channel, was known for her conservative opinions, which often resulted in heated debates between her and the show’s other hosts.

Wallace, who has been labeled a conservative, peculiarly finds herself in the favorable opinion of Behar:

“I like that little Republican over there. Nicole [Wallace],” Behar said of The View’s newest co-host. “You know, I have dealt with Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Ann Coulter. This girl is like a day at the beach!”

Wallace, who has been called a liberal Republican by critics, is best known for clashing with Sarah Palin during the 2008 Presidential campaign, something highlighted in the movie Game Change.

Wallace also made news for trashing Palin on The View, earlier this year.

The View, which has been in a general decline since the departure of Barbara Walters and Hasselbeck, has been lacking a personality to balance Rosie O’Donnell’s far-left and often overbearing ego.

It appears that with Wallace’s more centrist stance on the issues, and an apparent endorsement from Behar, the show’s other hosts will have free reign to continue to go unchecked, to the detriment of a balanced debate.

This is especially good news for co-host Rosie O’Donnell, who reportedly wanted a more docile Republican. Wallace may fit that bill perfectly. In addition to insulting the Palin family on multiple occasions, she is reportedly close friends with Katie Couric.
