Singer Mariah Carey spent three hours on her cell phone Tuesday night discussing her pending divorce from Nick Cannon, leaving NBC and thousands of fans waiting for her to perform in the rain, reports TMZ.

Carey was supposed to tape a segment for a live show set to air Wednesday night for the network’s Christmas tree lighting ceremony at Rockefeller Center.

At the scheduled time of her performance, she was reportedly at her hotel instead, where she was overheard discussing details about a property settlement on her cell phone.

The now 44-year-old was apparently still on the phone when she eventually arrived at the venue, which didn’t sit well with NBC.

When Carey finally got off the phone to start the concert, she was abruptly asked by NBC executives to leave.

The Daily Mail reported Wednesday morning that, despite her tardiness, she has been invited back by the network to try again, this time on live television.

The star, who performs her hit “All I Want For Christmas Is You” every year at the ceremony, was said to be upset about disappointing fans and NBC executives.
