Rumors have swirled for years about the possibility of another Rambo film, but none seemed credible until this week, when Sylvester Stallone himself confirmed the upcoming project on his Twitter page.

The Italian Stallion will again reprise the role of John Rambo in what will be the last of the franchise, a project titled Rambo: Last Blood.

This time “Johnny” Rambo will be going up against a Mexican cartel in his last adventure but not before finishing up another film that is sure to have Stallone fans excited.

The action star is currently filming a spinoff of the Rocky film series titled Creed, a story that will find Rocky Balboa acting as a trainer and mentor to the grandson of fellow boxing alumnus Apollo Creed. He tweeted:

Stallone is also reportedly working in pre-production on another film about former mafia hitman Greg Scarpa. Nicknamed “The Grim Reaper,” Scarpa once had ties to the Profaci crime family but broke his oath to become an FBI informant. Stallone confirmed he will film the biopic after production of Last Blood:

Stallone will also direct Last Blood, which is scheduled to begin filming after he completes production of Creed.
