Ten-term Congressman and ex-San Diego Mayor Bob Filner is the object of yet another sexual harassment lawsuit. Bodygaurds watched as Filner “kissed, massaged, (and) groped” anti-domestic violence activist Marilyn McGaughy at an elementary school, according to an L.A. Times report of a lawsuit recently filed by McGaughy.

Filner, a Democrat, resigned from his position as San Diego Mayor after a growing host of women came forward with reports of sexual misconduct. The Times article also stated, “In October, he [Filner] pleaded guilty to one felony count of false imprisonment and two counts of misdemeanor battery involving mistreatment of women.”

McGaughy had filed a claim with the city of San Diego, which was rejected. Two other such known claims were filed with the city and were settled. One was settled by payment of $250,000 to the claimant, and the other with an apology and declaration of a day in honor of the claimant, according to the Times article. The report also notes, “two other sexual harassment lawsuits are pending against Filner and the city.”
