In a bid to sway Senator Jeff Flake (R-AZ) to support gun control, gun control groups and some local Arizona gun control factions delivered 10,000 “Not One More” cards to Flake’s Phoenix office.

It took more than an hour to drop off the literature, as gun control proponents were only allowed into the office in groups of three at a time.

According to AZ Central, the group entered the office, led by Richard Martinez, an Isla Vista, California, parent. Different people talked to Flake’s staff about family members who had been killed by the criminal misuse of a gun. These instances included drive-by shootings by felons, which, of course, gun control legislation does not prevent.

Nevertheless, Martinez restated his dedication to continue fighting for gun control until it passes. “I lost my son,” he said. “I have nothing else to do now. I’m a gun-sense voter.”
