A 4.1 magnitude earthquake struck Napa Valley on Thursday night, the largest rattler to hit the region since the 6.0 magnitude quake that hit the world-famous vintner town last August.

“We have no reports of damage or injuries from the earthquake last night,” Barry Martin, the Outreach Coordinator for the City of Napa, told Breitbart News.

According to the United States Geological Survey, the quake took place at 7:53 p.m. It’s epicenter was 5 miles deep beneath the surface. It was felt over 40 miles in Sacramento and also reached parts of San Jose.

August’s earthquake resulted in close to $400 million in damages, including $83 million sustained by wineries alone. President Obama declared the site of August’s quake a major disaster and pledged to provide government aid to those affected.

“It took about two months but the declaration for independent assistance was made and FEMA was able to come in and provide some funds for the people who were affected,” Martin said. It’s a huge factor for both individuals, homeowners, businesses and the government. We get reimbursed for a big percentage of our losses including [damage to the] water lines.”

Martin said certain historic buildings that were damaged, including the courthouse, could take up to another year to repair. One person died as a result of injuries suffered from the quake. She passed away due to a massive brain injury which was amplified when she decided not to seek immediate medical attention after a television fell onto her head. Laurie Ann Thompson was 65.
