The Jerusalem Post reports: Jerusalem police removed nine Jewish visitors from the Temple Mount complex on Sunday morning for what authorities said were violations of the guidelines for Jewish visitation at the contested holy site.

Security forces sent away six adults and three youth from the compound for failing to uphold the rules of visitation, which prohibit Jewish prayer. See the video below:

Police said a number of small confrontations between Muslims, including members of the Wakf administration of Islamic holy sites, and Jewish visitors also broke out on Sunday morning.  Police intervened after slogans chanted by a group of Muslims led to heated responses from Jews.

While security was bolstered in the capital during the Passover holiday, police underlined that they would act against any disturbance of public order and security and urged visitors in Jerusalem to heed to police instructions to prevent disorder.
