Thousands poured into the streets of Tehran and other major cities in defiance of the Iranian rulers. They were chanting: Mubarak, Ben Ali, now its the turn for Seyed Ali, referring to the deposed dictators of Tunisia and Egypt saying now Ali Khamenei the supreme leader must go. Some burned the pictures of the founder of the Iranian revolution, Ayatollah Khomeini (something unseen before) and the current supreme leader, Ali Khamenei, while others cheered on. Reports are that the military personnel have shown concern of any confrontation by the Iranian leaders, like what happened in the summer of 2009. Also other reports from Iran indicate some guard commanders have shared similar concerns for any confrontation. This is while the clergies are worried about the radical path the Supreme leader and Ahmadinejad have chosen.

Also reports indicate demonstrations in other major cities, Shiraz, Kermanshah and Mash’had have erupted and thousands are out on the street fighting the regime forces.
