Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) has reportedly observed to colleagues that Secretary of State John Kerry has no friends, according to a new book about Washington D.C.’s permanent political class.

The Washington Post obtained an advance copy of New York Times reporter Mark Leibovich’s book, This Town, and reported on the book’s findings. It is a chronicle of the insecure characters that infest D.C.

One tidbit offered by Leibovich is that Harry Reid has “observed privately to colleagues” that John Kerry has no friends.

Kerry was a longtime colleague of Reid’s when Kerry represented Massachusetts in the Senate before becoming Secretary of State.
