Israel struck back following the March 12th rocket attacks by Palestinian Islamic Jihad against Israeli population centers.

According to The Times of Israel, the Israeli Air Force launched retaliatory air strikes late in the day on the 12th and “struck 29 targets in the Gaza Strip.”

Israel warned that “it would hit back hard at Gaza terror groups” after rockets were “fired at southern Israel earlier in the day.”

Among the targets chosen by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) were “bases of the armed wing of Islamic Jihad, which had claimed the rocket attacks, and Hamas throughout the Gaza Strip.”

IDF reported all planes returned safely to Israeli bases after the counter strikes were carried out.
