The White House said Friday that a video showing the apparent execution of British hostage Alan Henning was yet another example of the brutality of the Islamic State group.
President Barack Obama’s top counter-terrorism advisor Lisa Monaco said Washington was taking steps to confirm the authenticity of the tape and that the hearts of US officials went out to Henning.
