'Backrooms' tops North American box office with $81.5M - Breitbart

May 31 (UPI) — Chiwetel Ejiofor’s Backrooms is the No. 1 movie in North America this weekend, earning $81.5 million in receipts, BoxOfficeMojo.com announced Sunday.

Coming in at No. 2 is Obsession with $26.4 million, followed by Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu at No. 3 with $25 million, Michael at No. 4 with $11.7 million and The Breadwinner at No. 5 with $7.5 million.

Rounding out the top tier are The Devil Wears Prada 2 at No. 6 with $5.9 million, Pressure at No. 7 with $5.8 million, The Sheep Detectives at No. 8 with $4.6 million, Passenger at No. 9 with $2.6 million and Mortal Kombat II at No. 10 with $2 million.
