MALIBU, Calif., Feb. 7 (UPI) — Former Olympic runner and reality TV star Bruce Jenner survived a car collision that killed an unidentified woman in Malibu Saturday.

TMZ quoted eyewitnesses at the scene as saying Jenner allegedly rear-ended a car on Pacific Coast Highway, forcing the vehicle into oncoming traffic where it was struck by a Hummer.

Eight people were involved in the three-vehicle crash. The woman who died reportedly was the driver of the car Jenner is said to have hit.

The extent of the survivors’ injuries ranged from minor to moderate. No other details were immediately available.

The celebrity news website did not say if Jenner was hurt or if he was alone in the car at the time of the wreck.

Officials with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department confirmed to Page Six they are investigating the crash. It was unclear if any summonses had been issued.

Jenner has been making headlines lately due to his process of transitioning from man to woman. He is expected to address his life-changing decision on Sunday’s Season 10 premiere of Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
