President Barack Obama will hold talks with congressional leaders Friday at the White House to discuss options for avoiding the crippling, across-the-board spending cuts set to kick in from March 1.
Republican House Speaker John Boehner and Senate minority leader Mitch McConnell as well as Democratic Senate majority leader Harry Reid and House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi will attend the meeting, a congressional aide said.
