March 3 (UPI) — Pitch Perfect and The Hunger Games alum Elizabeth Banks is seen playing the titular heroine in a trailer for the Peacock dramedy, The Miniature Wife, Tuesday.
Set to premiere on the streaming service on April 9, the show also stars Succession and Death By Lightning actor Matthew Macfadyen.
The series is based on the short story by Manuel Gonzales and examines “the power (im)balances between spouses Lindy and Les after a technological accident induces the ultimate relationship crisis,” Peacock said.
Tuesday’s 2-minute preview shows Lindy freaking out after learning she has been shrunken down small enough to inhabit a dollhouse and must now battle for her life against flies and a Roomba.
“So, this is my tiny little life now?” she asks her seemingly giant husband, who is amazed and excited about the development.
The ensemble also includes O-T Fagbenle, Zoe Lister-Jones, Sian Clifford, Sofia Rosinsky, Ronny Chieng, Aasif Mandvi, Rong Fu and Tricia Black.
