Sept. 15 (UPI) — FBI Director Kash Patel is going before the Senate Judiciary Committee Tuesday morning to defend his record.

It is the first time Patel has gone before the Senate since May, when he was questioned mostly about his alleged drinking, taxpayer-funded personal travel. He has claimed that all personal travel has been reimbursed to the department.

Reports have surfaced that Patel took a VIP snorkeling trip in Hawaii around the wreckage of the USS Arizona during a visit to Pearl Harbor last summer and excursions Patel reportedly made on work trips, including a helicopter tour and jet skiing in Asia.

The Senate is expected to grill Patel in the meetings Tuesday.
