HOUSTON, June 24 (UPI) — Apparently Lionel Messi doesn’t handle flight delays as seamlessly as attacking defenders.

The Argentina and Barcelona superstar scorer took the Argentina Football Association to task after its flight from Houston was delayed on Thursday.

“Once again waiting on a plane to leave for our destination,” Messi wrote in an Instagram post Thursday.

“What a disaster the AFA are. My god!”

La Albiceleste crushed the U.S. men’s soccer squad 4-0 in the Copa America Centenario semifinal Tuesday to advance to the final against Chile.

The game will take place at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

The AFA saw Messi’s post and issued a response.

“The Argentine Football Federation informs that the flight which is transporting the national team to New Jersey suffered a delayed departure due to weather issues,” the AFA said in a statement, via Marca.

“Also, the AFA advises that all of the scheduled times of the transfers are designated by the organisers of the Copa America Centenario.”

Messi, who became Argentina’s top all-time scorer against the USMNT, trails only Chile’s Eduardo Vargas’ six goals for top scorer in the 2016 Copa America. Messi sits a goal behind Vargas heading into the final, but leads the tournament with four assists.
