May 4 (UPI) — A Canadian man warded off a bear he spotted raiding his outdoor trash by repeatedly knocking on a window of his home.
Jordan Cote captured video of his encounter with a bear he spotted tipping over his trash can Thursday on Vancouver Island for a daytime snack.
The video shows Cote watching the bear from inside his home and knocking on his window to spook the bruin.
The bear backs off a little bit each time Cote knocks, eventually deciding to leave the yard altogether.
