Feb. 2 (UPI) — Sony Pictures announced a new release date for The Breadwinner on Monday. The film now opens May 29, the weekend after Memorial Day.
The film was originally scheduled for release March 13. It marks the feature film debut of comedian Nate Bargatze.
Bargatze plays a father who takes care of the couple’s children when his wife (Moore) pursues business meetings after a Shark Tank appearance. Bargatze wrote the film with Dan Lagana and produced with Lagana and Jeremy Latcham.
Eric Appel directed. Colin Jost, Zach Cherry, Martin Herlihy, Kate Berlant, Kumail Nanjiani and Will Forte also star.
Moore recently had her third child in 2024. Bargatze hosted the Primetime Emmy Awards in September.
