London (AFP) – A member of the British armed forces, embedded with the United States military, has been killed by an improvised explosive device in Syria, the Ministry of Defence said Friday.
The unnamed individual, reported to be a soldier, was taking part in an operation against the Islamic State jihadist group when the blast occurred on Thursday, a spokesman said.
