LOS ANGELES, Nov. 8 (UPI) — Spouses-to-be Miranda Kerr and Evan Spiegel celebrated at their engagement party over the weekend.

The 33-year-old Australian model and 26-year-old Snapchat founder were fêted by family and friends Saturday at an outdoor affair at the Hotel Bel-Air in Los Angeles.

“It was filled with close family and friends and the couple seemed really happy and in love,” a source told E! News. “[They were] very affectionate throughout the party.”

“[The party was] classy and chic,” the insider added. “Everyone was celebrating and having a great time. Miranda and Evan get along with each other’s friends perfectly.”

Kerr had announced her engagement to Spiegel in July by sharing a picture of her enormous diamond ring. The model was previously wed to Orlando Bloom from 2010 to 2013, and shares 5-year-old Flynn with the actor.

“There’s always questions like, ‘So, do you think you might move back [to Australia]? Maybe we can all get a farm!’” she told TV Week this week. “But Orlando is in Los Angeles.”

“I can’t really imagine him wanting to live on a farm. Can you imagine? Him and Katy Perry and me and Evan all in Australia on a farm? We’re all close, though,” the star added. “We’re a modern family.”

Kerr recently admitted in the December issue of Elle Canada that she fell into a “really bad depression” after her split from Bloom. She is best known for her work with Victoria’s Secret and recently modeled for Givenchy and Moschino.
