Port of Spain (AFP) – A sodden outfield and more rainfall in the afternoon forced the abandonment of the second day’s play without a ball being bowled in the fourth and final Test between the West Indies and India at the Queen’s Park Oval in Trinidad on Friday.

Rain and a saturated field had limited play to just 22 overs on the opening day on Thursday.

West Indies are 62-2 in their first innings after winning the toss and choosing to bat, with Kraigg Brathwaite 32 not out and Marlon Samuels unbeaten on four.

India lead the series 2-0, but need to win the fourth Test to prevent Pakistan from overtaking them at the top of the world rankings.
