Feb. 5 (UPI) — Peacock released a teaser trailer for The Miniature Wife, an upcoming comedy-drama series starring Elizabeth Banks and Matthew Macfadyen.

The teaser features Banks as Lindy, a woman who awakes one day to find her husband, Les (Macfadyen), has accidentally miniaturized her to doll size in a technological accident.

The series, from showrunners Jennifer Ames and Steve Turner, is based on a short story written by Manuel Gonzales.

The Miniature Wife also stars O-T Fagbenle, Zoe Lister-Jones, Sian Clifford and Sofia Rosinsky. Ronny Chieng, Aasif Mandvi, Rong Fu and Tricia Black appear in recurring roles.

The official synopsis describes the show as “a dramedy examining the power (im)balances between spouses Lindy and Les after a technological accident induces the ultimate relationship crisis.”

Banks and Macfadyen also serve as executive producers alongside Michael Aguilar, Suzanne Heathcote and Michael Ellenberg and Lindsey Springer for Media Res.

All 10 episodes of The Miniature Wife release April 9 on Peacock.
