Manila (AFP) – The Philippines urged China Thursday to respect an international tribunal’s ruling rejecting its claims to most of the South China Sea, and said it would raise the issue at a regional summit.
Foreign Secretary Perfecto Yasay will discuss at the Asia-Europe summit starting on Friday “the need for parties to respect the recent decision of the arbitral tribunal”, a government statement said.
