Jan. 30 (UPI) — Colombian singer Shakira set a Guinness World Record as the highest-grossing Latin touring artist of all time, surpassing previous benchmarks by Luis Miguel and Bad Bunny, according to data published by Billboard.
Billboard Boxscore reported that the Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour has generated $421.6 million and sold 3.3 million tickets across 86 reported shows since launching Feb. 11. With those figures, the tour stands as the most successful ever by a Spanish-language artist.
The milestone allowed Shakira to eclipse Luis Miguel’s 2023-2024 tour, which grossed $409.5 million, as well as Bad Bunny’s World’s Hottest Tour in 2022, which reached $314.1 million. Karol G followed with Mañana Será Bonito, which earned $313.3 million between 2023 and 2024.
The Guinness record was secured Dec. 11 during Shakira’s concert at Vélez Sarsfield Stadium in Buenos Aires, when cumulative tour revenue surpassed $410 million. Additional shows in Argentina and the United States pushed totals higher.
“After a 30-year career that required so much effort and faced so many challenges, living this moment is incredible,” Shakira told Billboard. “I can only be grateful for the loyalty and passion of my fans, who give meaning to everything I do.”
Billboard said the tour sold out stadiums across Latin America, North America and other international markets, reinforcing Shakira’s leadership in the global Latin music industry.
Regional figures show the first Latin America leg generated $144.4 million, with 1.2 million tickets sold across 25 concerts.
In the United States and Canada, the tour earned $103.6 million from 22 shows, with an average ticket price near $150.
A second Latin America leg added $169.2 million in revenue across 36 shows, while three concerts in Hollywood, Florida contributed an additional $4.4 million.
In Billboard’s 2025 annual rankings, which include data through Sept. 30, Shakira placed fifth on the Top Tours list and second in total ticket sales. She also ranked No. 1 among Latin tours for the year.
The Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour will continue through 2026 and is scheduled to conclude April 4 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, following its final Latin America dates, including five shows in El Salvador and a stop in Mexico City on Feb. 27.
With the tour, Shakira marks the most successful stretch of her career. Overall, the artist has grossed $529.7 million and sold 4.9 million tickets across 206 reported concerts, according to Billboard.
Billboard noted that revenues could continue to rise before the tour’s final curtain, potentially pushing total grosses past $500 million and setting another milestone for Latin music worldwide.
