March 17 (UPI) — The first two episodes of Netflix’s new animated series, Stranger Things: Tales From ’85, are set to play in select AMC theaters on April 18, ahead of their streaming debut on April 23.
Tickets go on sale Wednesday,
“In the winter of 1985, snow blankets the town and the horrors of the Upside Down are finally fading. Our heroes Eleven, Mike, Will, Dustin, Lucas, and Max have settled back into a normal life of D&D, snowball fights, and quiet days,” a synopsis said.
“But beneath the ice, something terrifying has awakened. Could it be from the Upside Down? From the depths of Hawkins Lab? Or from somewhere else entirely? Our heroes must race to solve this mystery and save Hawkins in this new story set in the Stranger Things universe.”
Brooklyn Davey Norstedt, Jolie Hoang-Rappaport, Luca Diaz, Elisha “EJ” Williams, Braxton Quinney, Ben Plessala and Brett Gipson will voice the characters Eleven, Max, Mike, Lucas, Dustin, Will and Hopper, respectively.
The beloved, live-action, sci-fi series wrapped its fifth and final season in January.
