Thieving alligator takes catch off fishing line - Breitbart

BOSTON, July 27 (UPI) — A fisherman whose catch was stolen by a sneaky alligator shared video of the reptile snatching the fish and swimming away smugly.

Colm Linskey, who shared video of the incident on YouTube, was reeling in a large tarpon when the curious reptile became aware of the easy meal.

The intentions of the alligator — falsely identified by an unseen woman’s voice as a crocodile — quickly became clear, as Linskey attempted to pull the fish out of the water before it became a meal for the reptile.

Linskey was unsuccessful and, after one failed attempt, the alligator snatches the fish from the line and swims off with its prize while onlookers laugh.
