Durban (South Africa) (AFP) – Attackers armed with guns and knives struck a mosque in the South African city of Durban on Thursday, slashing the throats of three people and seriously injuring them, a private security company told AFP.

“Eyewitnesses said three attackers with guns had used knives to slit the victims’ throats. One knife was left behind,” Prem Balram, spokesman for Reaction Unit South Africa said, speaking from the scene.
