CUPERTINO, Calif., Sept. 17 (UPI) —

Apple released iOS 8 on Wednesday and there’s already an issue.

Apple’s HealthKit — a feature that will allow health apps to talk to each other — has a bug in the system.

In a statement, Apple said it discovered the glitch that is preventing the release of compatible apps alongside the release of iOS 8.

A spokeswoman said via email, "We’re working quickly to have the bug fixed in a software update and have HealthKit apps available by the end of the month."

However, HealthKit is different than iOS 8’s Health app. That app gives users a viewable dashboard of their health and fitness data.

That app was working fine on Wednesday.
