Feb. 12 (UPI) — Donald Trump Jr.’s wife, Vanessa Trump, went to the hospital for evaluation Monday after she opened a letter containing a suspicious substance, New York City officials said.

New York City Fire Department officials told NBC News that three people at her Manhattan apartment went to New York Presbyterian-Weill Cornell Medical Center as a precaution.

Firefighters decontaminated Vanessa Trump and two others before they went to the hospital.

Officials told WABC-TV that the three appeared to be unaffected by the unknown white powder.

The letter was addressed to Donald Trump Jr., President Donald Trump’s oldest son.
