Al Jah (Yemen) (AFP) – Yemen’s pro-government forces were waiting Wednesday for a “green light” from the Saudi-led coalition backing them to attack the key rebel-held port city of Hodeida, field commanders said.

“The troops are at the ready and are waiting for the green light to advance toward the city,” a pro-government commander said on condition of anonymity.

“The offensive won’t happen until there are orders from the coalition forces on the ground,” he said in comments confirmed by other commanders.
