Feb. 11 (UPI) — ABC released the trailer for the Scrubs revival on Wednesday. The show premieres Feb. 25 at 8 p.m. EST.
In the trailer, J.D. (Zach Braff) returns to Sacred Heart Hospital, where he was an intern in the original series. Elliot (Sarah Chalke), Turk (Donald Faison), Carla (Judy Reyes) and Dr. Cox (John C. McGinley) still work there.
A new group of interns flummoxes Cox, only now he can’t berate them like he used to do with J.D. In a private moment, Cox passes the torch to J.D. saying he can do for the interns what he did for J.D.
The trailer also shows Turk lead the interns in The Robot and other individual dances. J.D. rides Turk’s back like they used to only now Turk collapses. Turk high fives The Todd (Robert Maschio).
Vanessa Bayer plays a new administrator and Joel Kim Booster a rival doctor to J.D. Phil Lewis also returns as Dr. Hooch.
Ava Bunn, Jacob Dudman, David Gridley, Layla Mohammadi, and Amanda Morrow play the new interns. X Mayo and Michael James Scott are new nurses.
A teaser was released in November.
