As the Chicago Police Department was battling a rise in violent crimes and homicides, President Barack Obama played his 100th round of golf in Chicago this weekend while attending the wedding of Valerie Jarrett’s daughter, which forced the city to divert nearly 200 police officers to “secure the perimeter” of the private wedding, according to the Chicago Sun-Times. The Chicago Police will not be reimbursed by the federal government.

Jarrett is Obama’s senior adviser and closest confidante in the White House and since the beginning of Obama’s political career.

Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, who repeatedly clashed with Jarrett while he was the White House Chief of Staff, left Chicago before the weekend and curiously was quoted as saying, “Weekends, we know, have a spike in violence versus the week. Summers, as opposed to the rest of the year, have a spike in violence.”

Obviously, the police officers dispatched to the wedding could have been better used to prevent crime in the Windy City.
