According to a new study, Obamacare’s effective health insurance sales tax will impose “a new sales tax on health insurance that starts at $8 billion in 2014, increase to $14.3 billion in 2018, and will continue to increase each year.” The study comes from America’s Health Insurance Plans (AHIP).

The study shows that individuals purchasing their own health insurance will shell out $2,171 more over 10 years; for a family plan, that number jumps to $5,140. Furthermore, if you work for a big company that doesn’t provide health insurance, you will pay an additional $2,636. Again, that jumps for a family police: $7,186.
