In a Pew Research Poll listing 21 things the public believes should be government priorities for 2013, passing more gun laws is number 18 out of 21.

The majority of Americans simply do not see gun control as a pressing concern problem like President Obama and the Democrats do.

Instead, the American people are worried about the economy (first on the list), jobs (second), the deficit (third), and terrorism (fourth).

Participants in the poll described “reforming the tax system” and “dealing with illegal immigration” as more important than passing new gun laws.

The American people aren’t buying the anti-gun narrative being sold by Democrats and the media. The passage of more gun laws isn’t a priority for them, and the politicians who make it clear that they’re not going to focus on passing more gun laws will do well in 2014.
